FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Richard Pierce, a erstwhile sheriff of Fresno County, passed distant connected Wednesday astatine the property of 80, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office confirmed.

Richard Pierce, was the sheriff of Fresno County from 1999 to 2007, pursuing his predetermination successful 1998. Pierce was the 24th sheriff of Fresno County and served 2 presumption earlier retiring successful 2007 pursuing 40 years of nationalist service.
