14-year-old girl riding electric scooter hospitalized following crash in Fresno County, CHP says

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A 14-year-old miss riding an electrical scooter has been hospitalized aft she was deed by a motortruck successful Fresno County.

The incidental happened conscionable aft 5:30 p.m. Saturday connected Weldon Avenue adjacent First and McKinley.

CHP officers accidental the 14-year-old, on with a 12-year-old girl, was approaching the intersection erstwhile the teen failed to halt astatine a halt sign, driving straight into the way of a Dodge Pickup truck.

The teen was ejected from the scooter and was taken to the infirmary with large injuries.

The operator of the motortruck stayed connected country and was not injured.

Police accidental neither rider was wearing a helmet.
