FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Over $200,000 has been fixed to the County of Fresno for its Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety program, designed to promote children to locomotion oregon bicycle to and from school.
Officials announced connected Friday that the $223,082 assistance volition enactment their Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program, which encourages and enables schoolhouse children to locomotion and bicycle to school.
According to the county, the assistance funds volition support:
- Development of a Safe Routes to School Action Plan for 10 schoolhouse sites.
- Promote behaviour changes for those walking, biking oregon driving adjacent the schoolhouse sites.
