Clovis Elks Lodge supplies all 492 students with a backpack at Sierra Vista Elementary

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) –  Every pupil astatine Sierra Vista Elementary successful Clovis got a brand-new backpack filled with schoolhouse supplies.

Clovis Unified School District said the students received the backpacks from a donation by the Clovis Elks Lodge. 

All 492 students each got to take a backpack ranging successful plan from coagulated colors to characters similar princesses oregon dinosaurs. Every backpack was filled with crayons, pencils, glue sticks, whiteboards, and more.

"We are truthful thankful to the Clovis Elks for providing 100% of our students with backpacks and supplies,” said Principal Jennifer Thao. “Our assemblage is talking astir it and appreciates the kindness and generosity of our assemblage partners,” Thao said.

Clovis Elks Chairperson Steve Majors said the radical wanted to find a mode to enactment students successful request successful the district.
