CHP investigators said a KIA SUV, driven by a woman, was going northbound connected Road 96, southbound of Avenue 412. A Chevrolet pick-up truck, driven by a man, was going westbound connected Avenue 412.
The Chevrolet entered the intersection, and the KIA simultaneously entered, failing to halt for the posted halt sign, CHP said.
The KIA and the Chevrolet collided, causing the Chevrolet to overturn. The operator of the KIA died, and the operator of the Chevrolet had large injuries. The Chevrolet’s rider sustained large injuries.
