'We Have Arrived': Fresno City College instructor unveils mural at Fresno airport

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A Fresno City College teacher and globally recognized creator has unveiled a caller portion of artwork astatine the Fresno Yosemite International Airport.

The portion is simply a mixed media mosaic mural titled "We Have Arrived," by Caleb Duarte. It is located astatine the airport's garage, and its plan consists of a painted ceramic cardinal figure, which officials accidental is inspired by Afro-Indigenous and Latin futurism, "representing a increasing abstract histrion with well-grounded roots," and "reflecting the region's surrounding mountains and forests."

Airport officials adhd that the decorative floating patterns symbolize formation and aerial views inspired by the airport's existing "sky and ground" mosaic, located astatine the curbside successful the exterior terminal building.

Duarte is simply a Fresno City College sculpture teacher and internationally known creator with solo exhibitions passim California and successful India, Mexico, Cuba, Canada, Germany, Italy, and different countries.
