(NewsNation) — President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke Thursday amid rising tensions implicit trade disputes, according to reports.
The conversation, archetypal reported by Chinese authorities media outlet Xinhua, comes aft the White House confirmed that the brace would soon talk straight earlier this week.
On Wednesday, Trump said connected societal media that it has been hard to negociate with Xi.
“I similar President XI of China, ever have, and ever will, but helium is VERY TOUGH, AND EXTREMELY HARD TO MAKE A DEAL WITH!!!,” Trump wrote.
Both countries person accused the different of violating commercialized agreements amid tense tariff negotiations.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent accused China of disrupting the proviso chains of India and Europe, and Trump accused China of "totally" violating their 90-day agreement reached successful May.
The deal slashed Trump’s sky-high tariffs on Chinese imports from 145% to 30%, portion Beijing dropped its ain from 125% to 10%.
On Tuesday, a spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said his state has “responsibly and faithfully” upheld its extremity of the agreement.
