Thunderstorm brings funnel clouds, tornado warnings to Central California

MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Funnel clouds were spotted successful Merced County connected Monday arsenic a tempest moved done Central California.

Around 2:30 p.m., an Action News Camera captured a funnel unreality northeast of Atwater.

About 10 minutes later, the funnel unreality continued to swirl adjacent Vine and Almond arsenic the entity darkened astir it.

As the tempest continues, the National Weather Service has issued a tornado informing for Merced, Mariposa, and Tuolumne counties.

Officials accidental the tempest could besides bring pea-sized hail rainfall to the region.
