Texting driver dragged down highway outside Atwater: CHP

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A operator whose SUV struck the backmost of a tractor-trailer adjacent Atwater was dragged down the highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP says the clang happened connected southbound Highway 99 aft the operator was allegedly texting portion driving. 

Investigators accidental the car struck the backmost of a trailer, became lodged, and was dragged to the adjacent exit.

CHP officers pass that texting portion driving is simply a unsafe distraction that takes your hands disconnected the wheel, your eyes disconnected the road, and your caput disconnected driving.

The driver, who was not officially identified by the California Highway Patrol, was not injured
