CHP said a Chevrolet S-10 was traveling eastbound connected Avenue 248 approaching Road 36. A Chevrolet Silverado was headed northbound connected Road 36 astatine Avenue 248. 

A Toyota was traveling westbound connected Road 248 and stopped astatine a posted halt sign, according to CHP. 

The Chevrolet S-10, according to CHP, failed to halt for the posted halt motion and traveled into the way of the Chevrolet Silverado. The Chevrolet Silverado collided with the Chevrolet S-10, causing some vehicles to question retired of control. 

The Chevrolet Silverado overturned and came to remainder connected its broadside successful a partially afloat irrigation ditch. 

Investigators said the Chevrolet S-10 collided with the Toyota, causing some vehicles to drawback connected fire. The solo operator of the Toyota was capable to flight the flames. 

The operator of the Chevrolet S-10 was incapable to flight and died. The operator of the Chevrolet Silverado was capable to escape. 

The drivers of the Toyota and Chevrolet Silverado were taken by ambulance to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.
