Man dies after being pulled from Kings River near Winton Park

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A antheral successful his 30s died Sunday aft being pulled from the Kings River adjacent Winton Park, according to the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.

The incidental happened soon earlier 3 p.m. astatine Piedra and Elwood roads. Authorities said the antheral went underwater portion successful the stream and did not resurface.

Two bystanders recovered him and pulled him to shore, wherever deputies and CAL FIRE firefighters administered CPR.

He was transported by ambulance to a hospital, wherever helium was aboriginal pronounced dead.

Sheriff's spokesperson Tony Botti said the antheral was not wearing a beingness overgarment and had consumed intoxicant anterior to entering the water.
