TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Assemblywoman Alexandra Macedo (R-Tulare) says Gov. Gavin Newsom is to blasted for California's debt. This comes aft Newsom released his $322 cardinal spending plan, wherever the authorities faces a $12 cardinal deficit.
"The Governor likes to blasted President Trump for the state’s fund woes," Macedo said. "But, nether Governor Newsom’s leadership, the state’s fiscal problems began agelong earlier President Trump took office."
Gov. Newsom released his projected spending program connected Wednesday. Macedo says the governor’s revised fund connection is not what California needs.
"Make nary mistake, the Governor doubled down connected a failed task and made high-speed obstruction a apical precedence for aboriginal cap-and-trade funding," Macedo said. "The Governor has the authorization to redirect the $1 cardinal of cap-and-trade backing that goes to the High-Speed Rail Authority to wage for captious services, particularly wildfire prevention and h2o infrastructure."
According to Macedo, the High-Speed Rail has been mismanaged and plagued with delays.
"After 17 years and $13.7 cardinal already spent, the High Speed Rail Authority has not laid a azygous ft of track," Macedo said.
Macedo says a cardinal dollars is "better spent connected much-needed authorities services than high-speed rail."
