KERN COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- An serviceman is recovering aft being stabbed by an inmate successful Kern County this weekend.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation says Malcolm Scott utilized an improvised limb to stab the serviceman successful the neck.

Scott was restrained by unit and the injured serviceman was rushed to a hospital.
