HANFORD, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Juveniles were taken into custody successful Hanford during a postulation halt for allegedly having a handgun successful their conveyance connected Thursday, the Hanford Police Department said.

Officers conducted a postulation halt successful the country of Seventh Street and Douty Street for a conveyance lighting violation, constabulary said.

Three juveniles were successful the vehicle. Police said nary of them had a valid driver's license.

Before releasing the conveyance to the driver's parents, the officers said they had requested and obtained consent to hunt the vehicle.

During the search, officers recovered a loaded handgun concealed down the beforehand rider seat, constabulary reported.

Police said each occupants denied the ownership of the firearm.

Due to the firearm's determination successful the vehicle, constabulary reported the juveniles were taken into custody and transported to the Kings County Juvenile Center connected allegations of firearm-related charges.
