IDENTIFIED: Fresno man found dead in Sierra National Forest

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A missing Fresno man, who deputies accidental was an experienced hiker, was identified Tuesday aft being recovered dormant successful the Sierra National Forest.

The coroner's bureau identified him arsenic a 68-year-old Robert Gretsch.

Just earlier 9 p.m. Sunday, the sheriff's bureau was notified that Gretsch had separated from his radical adjacent Courtright Reservoir. They were told helium was an experienced hiker with the indispensable supplies to endure the elements.

Search and rescue efforts continued passim the nighttime and into Monday morning. Around 10 a.m., different hiker, unrelated to the group, reported uncovering a antheral down.

The sheriff's bureau sent their EAGLE One chopper to the country and recovered the body. He matched the statement of Gretsch. 

The origin of his decease has not been released, but according to deputies, helium had nary disposable injuries.
