For chartless reasons, CHP said, Varela moved close past instantly initiated a U-turn straight into the way of westbound traffic. The operator of a 2000 Harley Davidson and the operator of a 2007 Harley Davidson collided with the near broadside of the Jeep.
CHP said some riders were ejected and the operator of the Jeep sustained fatal injuries. Officers said the 2 motorcyclists and the operator of the SUV were pronounced dormant astatine the scene.
