MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A hiker had to beryllium rescued successful Madera County aft a misstep near her with a superior injury, the sheriff's bureau announced.
On Sunday, a pistillate visiting from Southern California was hiking connected the Lewis Creek Trail adjacent Corlieu Falls with household erstwhile she misstepped, deputies say.
Deputies accidental the pistillate suffered a superior ankle wounded and required an airlift rescue by CHP's H-40 chopper owed to the steep terrain.


Before the pistillate was airlifted retired of the canyon to the Batterson Fire Station, archetypal responders stabilized her injury. Once astatine the station, she was transported to a section hospital.
Madera County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue (SAR), deputies, Cal Fire, Sierra Ambulance, and CHP H-40 each responded and assisted successful the woman's swift rescue.
