Fresno City Council unanimously adopts $2 billion budget for 2025

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno City Council has officially adopted a $2 cardinal fund for Fiscal Year 2025, which begins adjacent month.

On Wednesday, the assembly reached a unanimous decision, passing the fund aft considering comments from some the assembly and the public.

One facet of the fund that led to important treatment was reducing backing to pensions, which allows that wealth to debar immoderate cuts to the Fresno Fire Department Budget.

The metropolis manager explained the pension program is presently overfunded and that adjacent aft these cuts, it would inactive beryllium 100 percent funded.
