Dems reportedly split on DHS funding bill, but must hold their ground 

Kicking the tin down the road hasn’t worked. It hasn’t produced reform, it hasn’t restored trust, and it hasn’t stopped the aforesaid abuses from happening again. A two-week hold doesn’t bargain leverage — it just buys time for the presumption quo to survive.
