CHP finds cocaine in driver's hidden compartment in Fresno County

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A operator was arrested aft officers allegedly recovered 13 pounds of cocaine successful a hidden compartment during a postulation halt successful Fresno County connected Thursday, the California Highway Patrol said.

CHP said connected April 24, a K-9 sergeant and serviceman conducted an enforcement halt connected a 2018 Honda Accord for a postulation usurpation connected I-5 successful Fresno County.

According to CHP, during contact, the K-9 sergeant noted respective factors and tradecraft that led him to judge the operator was engaged successful transgression activity.

With the assistance of K-9 units, CHP said they discovered a hidden compartment built into the exhaust tunnel.

CHP said they recovered 13 pounds of suspected cocaine, and it was recovered from the compartment. The operator was arrested, and the lawsuit was turned implicit to the Fresno High Impact Investigations Team. The operator was booked successful the Fresno County Jail.
