FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno County Supervisor Buddy Mendes is retiring from his position.

The announcement was made during a property league connected Tuesday.

Mendes has been a supervisor for District 4 since 2015. The territory represents areas specified arsenic Orange Cove and Coalinga.

He has besides served connected the Riverdale Unified School District Board of Trustees and the Southwest Transportation Agency.

His existent word ends connected January 4, 2027.

Mendes is endorsing erstwhile Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims to capable his seat.
