Baby recovering after nearly drowning in Merced County, deputies say

MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A babe is reportedly recovering aft astir drowning successful a bathtub successful Merced County.

Reports came successful from Harding and Walnut Road successful Turlock Monday day astir a babe who wasn't breathing.

The Merced County Sheriff's Office says deputies rushed to the determination wherever they accidental a kid was successful a tub with moving h2o and it's believed the babe began choking.

"The parent attended to the babe and past the babe went unconscious, successful a panic, the parent was incapable to find her compartment telephone and near the residence," Merced County Sheriff's Captain Aaron Rosenberg said.

The Sheriff's Office says the parent went to get assistance astatine a concern and 911 was called.

First responders performed CPR resuscitating the babe earlier the kid was rushed to the hospital.

Detectives are investigating the incident, but bash not fishy foul play.
