Active shooter reported near Brown University building, school officials say

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLS) -- There is an progressive shooter adjacent a Brown University gathering connected Saturday afternoon, according to an alert sent by schoolhouse officials.

A BrownUAlert says the shooter was reported adjacent the Barus & Holley Engineering successful Providence, Rhode Island.

The alert directs students to "Lock doors, soundlessness phones and enactment stay hidden until further notice.
