9 mm with nine rounds found at Fresno airport security checkpoint

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 9 mm Smith & Wesson M&P Shield handgun loaded with 9 rounds of ammunition was discovered Wednesday astatine the Fresno Yosemite International Airport, according to officials.

The Transportation Security Administration said the firearm was discovered during a regular X-ray screening of carry-on spot astatine the airport’s information checkpoint successful a man’s traveler’s carry-on bag.

TSA says aft seeing the firearm connected the x-ray they notified officers with FAT’s Department of Public Safety who responded to the information checkpoint.
