MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 5-year-old lad who wandered disconnected from his campsite astatine Mammoth Pool Reservoir Campground portion his household was preparing meal has been found, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies accidental around 7 p.m. connected Saturday, August 3, the Madera County Sheriff’s Communications Center received a telephone reporting a missing kid astatine the Mammoth Pool Reservoir Campground. Deputies said they learned that a 5-year-old lad wandered disconnected from a campsite portion his household prepared dinner.
Search and rescue teams responded to the campground and began a preliminary hunt of the area.
Members of the Madera County Sheriff’s Boat Patrol Unit and Search and Rescue Team deployed further instrumentality and aided hunt efforts.
A K9 from CARDA (California Rescue Dog Association) was brought to the scene, and CHP chopper H-42 responded to supply aerial support, on with Cal Fire Aircraft.
