30 school district employees honored in Kings County

KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Several schoolhouse territory employees, including educators and different schoolhouse staff, were recognized during the 2025 Excellence successful Education Awards Ceremony astatine the Hanford Fox Theater earlier this week.

For this year's ceremony, the Kings County Office of Education partnered with Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) to admit the county's astir outstanding educators and schoolhouse unit this year.

During the ceremony, astir 30 educators and schoolhouse territory employees from crossed the region were recognized. The honorees included teachers, administrators, and schoolhouse employees from crossed 13 schoolhouse districts.

According to EECU, the honorees were:

  • Beverly Pugh and Lori Sifton with the Armona Union Elementary School District
  • Amanda Ramirez and Paula Ramos from the Central Union Elementary School District
  • Charles Gent, Andrea Martinez, and Veronica Oregel from the Corcoran Unified School District
  • Raechelle Dawn Berna, Lindsey Calvillo, Gloria Molina, and Jessica Valencia from the Hanford Union Elementary School District
  • Gary Griffin, Sarah Hess, and Carl Teixeira from the Hanford Joint Union High School District
  • Elizabeth Hines from the Island Union Elementary School District
  • Jocelyn Bettencourt from the Kings River-Hartwick Union Elementary School District
  • Amy Barlow from the Kit Carson Union Elementary School District
  • Jeany Plooy from the Lakeside Union Elementary School District
  • Teresa French, Deena Mathers, and Ana Ortiz from the Lemoore Union Elementary School District
  • Justin McLelland and Jimmy Rodriguez from the Lemoore Union High School District
  • Elaine Hoover and Kallie Irby from the Pioneer Union Elementary School District
  • Xondria Burkett and Anamarley Martinez from the Reef-Sunset Unified School District
  • Jereme Gatchalian, Maricela Lopez, and Rebekah Thompson from the Kings County Office of Education

The Excellence successful Education awards is 1 of the six yearly events sponsored by EECU, highlighting "exemplary" educators and schoolhouse staff, per officials.
