25-year-old man dies following drowning at Millerton Lake, police say

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Madera County Sheriff's Office confirmed that 25-year-old Everardo Apantipan has died aft helium was pulled from Millerton Lake connected Saturday afternoon.

Apantipan was rushed to the infirmary erstwhile CAL FIRE crews from the Madera-Mariposa-Merced Unit pulled him retired of the lake.

Footage obtained by Action News captured the moments aft the rescue.

Officials accidental Apantipan was taken to Valley Children's Hospital, which was the closest hospital.

Initial reported accusation indicated Apantipan was 29 years old.
